The SIG P226 remains one of those iconic arms. Sure the P320 came along and dominates SIG’s product lines. Militaries and agencies moved on. But the SAO P226 endures nonetheless. Now through a cool partnership between SIG Sauer and ZEV Technologies, the P226 ZEV might just constitute the best version yet.
SIG P226 ZEV
At first glance, this pistol is hot. What should immediately jump out for SIG fans is how remarkably well ZEV blended it’s own style right into the classic lines of the P226.
“We started with just a basic, stripped-down 226, and kind of looked at it for a little bit and wanted to add what I feel like my style is, which is really function and design,” said ZEV’s Alec Wolf. “I just enjoy really sitting down and having a blank canvas to work with and then seeing the finished product like this and something coming from your brain, and then putting it onto 3D, and then seeing the actual product and getting to play with it.”
From the flowing lines, to the dimpled textured patterns, the P226 ZEV wonderfully blends function and form. Both optics- and suppressor-ready, ZEV brought the ol’ trusty P226 to life in a very unique way.
We found the ZEV build retailing online for a bit over $2K. For even more info, please visit sigsauer.com.
