Keeping in line with its “Always Be Ready” mindset, 5.11 Tactical is perpetually updating and upgrading its products to give consumers the best, most functional gear possible. 5.11 updated the LV 2.0 line of packs across the board for functionality and design. Improved pocket layout, strap placement and the use of new Duraflex buckles that are easier to operate, especially with gloves, round out some of the positive updates. LV6 WAIST PACK 2.0
Along with the new Duraflex buckles, the LV6 2.0 Waist Pack also has an updated quick-release S/R waist strap. Configurations allow wearing it around the waist or across the body, supported by the addition of an adjustable webbing strap. The LV6 has two zippered pockets, a mesh rear pocket with a hook-and-loop closure, and a hidden slip compartment between the back wall and the main compartment. Webbing loops top and bottom allow the LV6 waist pack attachment to the LV18 backpack. This works with or without the waist strap removed. Side compression straps keep everything snug and compact. LV10 SLING PACK 2.0
The LV10 Sling Pack is ready for action. Upgrades include a removable holster retention strap, a securing strap on the tablet sleeve and a quick-release cam buckle on the crossbody strap. The hook-and-loop rear CCW pocket allows for custom placement of the holster retention strap to set your holster placement just how you like it. Added loops to the CCW compartment allow it to remain “closed” but with faster access. The main pocket has a secured tablet sleeve, admin organization, laser-cut MOLLE and two mesh pockets on the lid. Additional pockets include a fleece-lined top zipper pocket, a front zippered pocket and an expandable water bottle pocket under webbing straps. MSRP: $115
LV18 BACKPACK 2.0
The LV18 2.0 is better than ever. The ambidextrous side-entry CCW compartment now has the removable holster retention strap. The expanded loop gives the user more room for perfect CCW holster placement. The laptop sleeve has been extended and now has a security strap. A second set of webbing loops have been added to the back to allow the LV6 waist pack to attach if more space is needed. The secondary compartment has a smaller slip pocket for tablet-size electronics, as well as a fleece-lined slip pocket. The front pocket has additional admin and slip dividers.
The LV18 has two expandable water bottle pockets, one on each side under the compression straps. If needed, the shoulder straps can be quickly disconnected using the new Duraflex buckles. The sternum strap is adjustable and also removable. Triglide slide buckles have been added for use with an optional waist belt. MSRP: $145
