With the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic leading the charge, gun buying is at its highest point in recent memory. So, if there were a perfect time for a new online marketplace for guns and gear, now would be it—and thankfully, Everest.com officially launched Wednesday.

Perfect Timing for the Everest Guns & Gear Marketplace

The FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) saw its second highest month ever in March 2020. Meanwhile, a Newsy/Ipsos survey showed one in 20 households are purchasing firearms in response to the coronavirus outbreak. A lot new gun owners followed with multiple reports of an ammo shortage, with defensive rounds at a minimum. It’s a pretty perfect stage for Everest.com.

Everest is a customer-centric, community-driven, multi-merchant marketplace; it caters to hunters, shooting sports enthusiasts, anglers, campers and hikers across the country. How serious is Everest? Well, as of launch, there are already more than 500 merchants on the platform; that translates to more than 500,000 products at the time of launch—not too shabby. On top of that, Everest estimates it should have more than 1 million products before the end of 2020.

But let’s go back to that ammo shortage we referred to. Right now, there’s a plethora of ammo on Everest.com. So if you’re having a hard time finding some at your local stores, now might be the time to strike. We found plenty of varieties of 9mm, which seems to be at the top of everyone’s lists.

The Everest Way

“At our core, we believe in passing down the great outdoor legacies that were passed to us,” Everest CEO and Founder Bill Voss said in a release. “Our mission is to create a one-of-a-kind marketplace where merchants can sell free of the noise of those other sites. We are committed to surpassing all customer expectations by providing unparalleled service, exceptional quality and ultimate value with every interaction.”

Everest also offers a “Caliber Account” for those interested. It features benefits like free express shipping and deep discounts on certain items. Lastly, Everest is giving back to philanthropic programs and outdoor industry initiatives. Those initiatives include conservation, veterans service organizations, cancer support and firearms safety.

Overall, Everest is off to a good start in a time when we could certainly use it. For more information, please visit Everest.com.
