When it comes to shotguns, Mossberg is usually one of the first names that comes to mind. In 2019 for its 100th anniversary, Mossberg announced the pump-action 590A1 Retro shotgun.
We got our hands on the Mossberg 590A1 Retro for the first time at the 2019 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous. It features every ounce of modern Mossberg you want, but in an incredibly sexy retro package. So, as expected you’ve got the Ghost Ring sights and a 20-inch heavy-walled barrel, which also features a heat shield. But then, transitioning to the “retro” side of the shotgun, there’s the walnut stock and corncob forend, which make this thing pop. It is truly exquisite.
Watch above as Mossberg’s Director of Media Relations, Linda Powell, shows off the new shotgun and puts some rounds downrange.
MSRP for the 590A1 Retro is $930. For more information, please visit Mossberg.com.
